After the completion of Monster Hunter 2 for Playstation 2 online, which has yet to hit shelves in Japan, Capcom held a press conference in Tokyo to an media that next installment of Monster Hunter will be coming to next gen console, possibly playstation 3.

At the event, series producer Tsuyoshi Tanaka told the assembled press that his next Monster Hunter title may come out on a next-generation console, although he hasn’t decided on a platform. Tanaka also said he would like to make another Monster Hunter game for the PSP before moving the series to next-gen platforms.
