MGS4 Trophies Actually Going to Happen?

Konami might actually add trophies to Metal Gear Solid 4. Sean Eyestone (that's the head of the Kojima Productions Report) said; 'I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we’re not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It’s just that we can’t say anything just yet.'

So they're not ignoring our desperate pleas for trophies for our Snake-based sneaking game, they just can't say anything about them yet. We're pretty sure that means 'we're working on them' in developer-speak.

I've Beaten The Game A Few Times And My Last Time Playing I Bought The Stealth Camo When It Went Half Off towards The End Of The Game, I Better Not Need To Make A New Game, That Took So Long To Get 2500000 Drebin points >=/

I've been praying since i beat the game on expert and really didn't get anything for it and honestly they would only make money from this venture and substantial for them and probably Sony as well Sony said there'd be a patch for all games past, present, and future and they haven't delivered yet just hope none for online cause they waited to long and it lost people as time went by.

You'll definitely have to start over. Apart from Uncharted the same thing was with GTA4 and Fallout3. Can You believe? I've had MGS4 from the start but haven't been playing it exactly because it didn't have trophies (i know i'm sick:) and now this. I hope it's true.

@suberz0951: That's what Naughty Dog tried to do with Uncharted - to lock the save files to the specific PSN ID or Account on the PS3 (online and offline respectively), but to make save files retroactive can't work like this, or at least it's not worth the ridiculous amount of work they'd have to go to to make it happen, which would probably have to include a PS3 Firmware update. Still, like clarick01 said, Konami have a good marketing strategy all worked out!

And I read about this on IGN, can only be a good thing - though I can imagine how hard the trophies are going to be... :)

it might be possible, but they won't do that. if people cant use there old data to get the trophies, then they will want to go back and buy MGS4 if they still don't have it or traded it in. its a good way for Konami to make more money.

your definitely gona have to start a new game, just like with Uncharted. its a way to prevent "cheating" trophy's. but if trophy's do happen, i wouldn't mind playing again anyways. mgs4 is always fun.

Well if they do put trophies, I hope we don't have to start a new game, because I have put a lot of hours into the game to start fresh again maybe others will not mind that but i know i will.
