Map Pack 4 for World at War: ‘Confirmed’ by Treyarch
At last the rumours, conjecture and guesswork can cease – or can they? According to Product Reviews, Treyarch has confirmed that there will be a fourth Map Pack for Call of Duty: World at War.
On October 25th, a sole Nazi Zombies map entitled ‘Gebiet 51’ (Area 51) will be available to purchase from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. New features include the ‘Sophia Machine’ which, when activated, summons the spirit of Dr Maxis’ daughter who will temporarily aid you in disposing of the persistent undead hordes. Players will also have the option to upgrade traps, in hope that this might improve their chances of survival.
But wait a minute: October 25th is a Sunday. Since when was DLC released on a Sunday? Could this be a mere typographical error, or should we be questioning the legitimacy of Product Reviews’ article?
It looks like we’ll have to file this under rumour for the time being.
Update: Treyarch’s Community Manager Josh Olin has, via Twitter, commented that Product Reviews’ article is misinformed, as we suspected. Thanks Josh.

Peter, all we had go on was intel from external sources. We tried to remain objective by not saying there will or won’t be a Map Pack 4. All we can do is update you on our findings.
It looked like a fourth map pack was on the way – some sites still believe it’ll happen, but truth is we don’t know what to think.

well, to my recent findings in the new nazi zombie map “Der Riese”, i found out a little telephone that replays a message sent by some doctor.
Its said that the doctor (I think his name was doctor max or somethin like that) in der riese need more element 115 for the DG. In the message they said it would take 7 years to sell it and they dont want to be rushed in selling it. He said it would be jolly if they could sell it early. Now, he said that the only reliable and huge source of Element 115 is in the USA- Nevada. Yes! That means the next setting is in area 51!
Now, i said to myself 7 years is to much, and went to one of the chalk boards and noticed a calender. 7 years was really meant to be 7 weeks. It showed the month”September” and showed all the thursdays circled and have question marks near them. Thats it! The release date was August 6, and seven weeks from that is September is the 24! Thats the release date of the new maps. Just before cod 6 comes out!

i don’t know if it will be coming out or not. but i do think they need to get up with s film maker and make at least 4 movies about the nazi zombies. and each one could tell more and more of the story. i personally would love to see the movies because i’m all caught up in the easter eggs of shi no numa and der reise. and i would love to get some closure on the whole thing. i think it would be so much better then this gay “twilight” crap that everyone seems to want to watch. plus zombies are awesome, vampires are sparkly.
I wish there would be a Map Pack 4 but Treyarch has said they aren’t making it. People have stopped playing COD:WaW as well, only few remain loyal to Nazi Zombies (like myself).

So treyarch is releasing map pack4. We can speculate it coming out this month due to the4 numbers found inder reise.3 10 17 24. Those numbers are all Thursdays in this month, which is when the ps3 network gets updated right? Just trying to put together thisbs puzzle. I think its going to be on this October of this year, 2010. Though thru some blogs on the net, I found other ideas about the map pack coming out in June, 2010. Though I think Infinity Ward (IW), are in a position of vulnerability of trust. Because of the massive glitches it had since MW2’s release. I think its a great opportunity for Treyarch to release the new NAZI ZOMBIES map pack followed by their newly upcoming release of Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Notice that they have “Call of Duty” on their title of the game unlike MW2. In my opinion Treyarch are on lead, they have to have a hard eye on those glitches to patch up, before the game releases. They wouldn’t want to fail as much as IW did.
