Map Pack 4 for World at War?
Rumour has it that Call of Duty: World at War may be getting a fourth Map Pack! The tip-off comes from Alan Ng’s article on the Product Reviews website, written earlier this month. We can only offer our sincerest apologies for not finding this sooner.
During Map Pack 3’s Der Reise zombie level, a radio transmission can be heard delivering an ambiguous message from a Dr Maxis regarding ‘The Giant Project’, the future mass production of the Wunderwaffe super weapon, and ‘matter transference’ experiments – which can only continue with a regular supply of mysterious element ‘115’. It is here Maxis talks of his American operatives having significant resource at their Nevada base. Generally, what springs to mind at the mention of Nevada? Area-51. Could this be the location of a future Zombies map?
And there’s more. Hidden in one of Der Riese’s factory rooms is a calendar on which four very specific dates have been marked by a red ring and a question mark: the 3rd, the 10th, the 17th and the 24th. Now, find a calendar and look at next month. Notice anything? Both calendars are identical, with the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th all being Thursdays. Coincidentally, in the world of PlayStation, what tends to happen on Thursdays? New content arrives on the PlayStation Store. Might these four marked days be potential release dates?
Ok, we understand the whole thing’s a bit of a long shot, although before you dismiss the subject altogether have a look at this Easter Egg footage, submitted on YouTube by a group of American players (please be advised: this footage does contain strong language). Taking all into consideration, there’s enough evidence here to imply that World at War’s Zombies mode might not end with Der Riese. Call us fools, but it’s certainly got us thinking!

The Mysterious element 115 is apparently real and it powers alien space craft that have been tested at area 51. The reason for alien ships going at the speed of light if because the mysterious element 115 breaks down rapidly and forms element 116 which is highly unstable and it then releases unbeliveable amounts of energy making the alein air rafts to go such fast.
The Point is that if there is a new map it will definately be in area 51

We’re not sure, hence the use of words like ‘could’, ‘might’, ‘may’, ‘potential’, and most importantly ‘rumour‘. At no point do we say we are sure, and we even comment that the whole thing is ‘a bit of a long shot’.
Yes, the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th of December are all Thursday’s too. But, if you watch the YouTube video provided (or play the level yourself), you’ll see the in-game calendar is labelled September, so why would we remark on any other month?

i think that every thursday in september 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th will maybe and i mean MAYBE have a trailer or teaser released for map pck 4 and finnaly have it come out on the 24th just an idea or maybe since its 4 maps the first 3 dates will show or tease at the multiplayer maps and the finaly thursday, the 24th could release them with the zombie map trailer and the map pack out also just another idea prolly not as good as the first one
Well, the evidence continues to pile up when you listen to all the radios in Shi No Numa and Der Riese/ Plus the calender and the rumor of the EXTRA teddy bears (UNCONFIRMED). It all kinda comes together to hint at a final map that puts everything we’ve seen in the past few maps together. The possibilities for this last map are endless. However, we can be sure that this will be the last or next-to-last map before CoD6. The odds of them releasing another zombie map for CoD5 after 6 comes out will be VERY unlikely. As a damn good NZ player, I find that most of the shit in the background tends to play a good point. The fact that the moon is statinary and is very close might sem like just part of the enviroment but look back to ancient Egypt. The mythology says that the priests had the power to summon a Grand Eclipse which would bring the moon closer to the earth so that it could eclipse the sun and broadcast a larger shadow upon the Earth (not sure how much is ‘translated’ or adapted for modern day knowledge). This would give the armies of the dead more power to fight off the god of Death. All very very VERY minor and probably not it but it just seems like too much of a coincidence.
There is NO type 99 in the box, which pisses me off, but there is a sawed off shotgun. However, i’ve seen it three times, not like 100. But it IS in there. Maybe these things will be in the new map???

im quite drawn in by the storyline, and i loved der riese, so i would like to think there will be another map pack, but i feel that the spetember 27th idea is a little far fetched as it isnt very long. the message from doctor Maxis and the black board does indicate that something may happen in september, i hope it does, but i dont think it will accumulate to anything.

I’m sure that somebody on some forum somewhere has stated this already, but from watching the video and hearing the audio of the Dr. speaking, I believe the next map pack may be the last or at least elude to why the zombies are how they are: teleportation. In the video he says that test subjects have been successfully transported but are “unresponsive and unable to be given commands”–like zombies…
Just my speculation (and just bare speculation, seeing as how I own the PC version and we’re YET to see the damn map pack), and I could’ve heard things wrong, I need sleep lol.

in the radio message dr. maxis indicated that the teleportation worked but the subjects were unresponsive… and of course mentioned nevada, to me it would seem unlikely to mention nevada, element 115 and the teleporters, undercover informants and not to make something of it. the map packs have sold millions of copies making millions for the game developers and to release just one more would satisfy fans and make an extra bunch of cash…….i really hope theres one more…also do you reckon that maxis was planning to release the zombies into america by teleportation, as to lead to their victory in the war, we’ll find out soon…
This came from a website about Element 115
The U.S. Government had 500 pounds of Element 115 in their possession. The raw Element 115 was given to the U.S. Goverment at S4 by the Reticulan EBEs in the form of discs. The scientists at S4 sent the Element 115 discs through Groom Lake (AREA 51 OFCOURSE) to Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, to be milled for use in the Anti-Matter Reactor? (maybe the teleporters in Der Riese). The Los Alamos personnel were told it was a new form of armor. They simply followed orders, milled it in accordance with the following steps, and sent it back to Groom Lake. It was during this process that some of the Element 115 turned up missing! (possibly the samples at Der Riese that Dr. Maxis used).

that’s what they want you to think though. thats basically what they did with Der Riese; except for they just didn’t tell us the release date. It;s going to come out september 24 cuz thats where all the evidence leads to.

It hasn’t come out yet so it should come out on the 24 and the der riese trailer was released the sunday before release date so maybe today.

Right, another tip. Der Reise came out on August 6th, in the transmission, it says something about 7 Years, change it to weeks. Now, add 7 weeks to August 6th, September 24th… coincidence????? No.

Guys, the transmission says SEVERAL weeks, not seven weeks.
Map pack 1 was released 19th of march, Map pack 2 the 2nd of june and Map pack 3 the 6th of august.
Mp1 -> Mp2 = 11 weeks
Mp2 -> Mp3 = 9 weeks
Mp3 -> 24 september = 7 weeks
but that date is tomorrow and no trailer or screenshot or any ‘legal’ news has been seen. so i think there is a easter egg that has not been found that says… just kidding! but i sure hope not

Get Over it. Map pack 4 wont be coming out soon it was probably just luck that all that information lead to the 24th of september. It could of meant something else not a new map. I think they will release a map pack a couple of weeks before the release of Modern Warfare 2 to squeeze all the gameplay thats left out of World At War before most people stop playing it.

don’t forget…..in most calendars the also show the first week of the next month…..which means that it could be released on the 1st of Oct……the 1st of Oct. is also a thursday…..plus it can’t take place in area 51…..because area 51 is in Roswell, New Mexico.

Does anyone else look past the current month to notice that the same dates fall on Thursday in December? Could it be possible that they are alluding to the first map pack for COD Modern Warfare 2. Possibly some weird Area-51 take over that leads to an outbreak of zombies that ties in with COD WAW?

Zombies is Treyarch’s bag, not Infinity Ward’s.
I think they are going to have zombies in MW2. Treyarch borrowed from Infinity Ward to make WAW so I don’t see why Infinity won’t borrow from Treyarch. Besides it would be pretty cool. If they had old rotting nazi zombies in MW2 that were released out of AREA 51 and tied in aliens or something that would be a pretty cool multiplayer. Since it is Oct. and no MP4 I think that it is a safe bet or at least a good guess that they are alluding to MP1 for MW2.

Hi guys, just thought id post up to say that im as annoyed about the fact there was no map pack 4 as the rest of you.
But I also wanted to post a reply to someone who said they had seen the type 99 and the SODB in the mystery box.
YOU ARE WRONG. I can prove it easily. There is a gun glitch you can do with the box to get multiple guns, you probably already know this. If you do this glitch enough times you can retreive every gun from the box, allowing for the flamethrower, wanderwaffe and the colt of course.
After this you do not even get the teddy, with-out fail you WILL get either molotovs or monkeys. I know this because i do this on purpose. We move the box over to teleporter C and I throw all monkeys as the previous one explodes… then… spin the box twice to get another 3 monkeys.
We always do the Fly Trap thing and we have tried every way you can imagine and still no other gun comes up in the box.
IT IS NOT THERE! It was a typo and treyarch have admitted this.

It is october 15 and treyarch officialy announced a few hours ago that map pack 3 has been comfirmed and is call “Gebiet 51″ which translates to area 51. Treyarch aslo announced that it will be released on sunday Otober 25. It has a new machine that allows you to upgrade traps like the flooger. It has the pack a punch machine and a new machine called the Sophia Machine. It summons the the spirit of The dr’s daughter who will help you fight zombies. And no believed me.
Nazi zombies came form actual real life experiments done by the germans on 935 officers. They were trying to find a way the make a invincilbe army to acomplish their goal of ruling for a thousand years.

Hey, I have an Xbox 360 not a PS3. But everybody who thinks that map pack 4 will come out. Im with you, because when map pack 1 came out, a ton of people bought it, when map pack 2 came out, over a million people bought it, and when map pack 3 came out over 6 million people bought it. Do you realize how much money treyarch makes for selling 3 MAP PACKS??? I think they will make a map pack 4, its all about money.
