Capcom confirmed at E3 that the PS3 will be getting a demo of Lost Planet 2 at some point. They never mentioned when we’ll be getting it, but it’s nice to know that we will. The 360 and PC are already planned to get a demo. There was a demo shown at E3 which allowed up to 4 players to team up and battle a very large beastie, but we don’t know if that’s the one that’ll be released to us. We can still hope, though, because that sounds great.

The release date of the game itself is a little hazy, some sources say it’ll release on 360 and PC this year and on PS3 in Spring, some say it’s a simultaneous release this year and yet more say it’s a simultaneous release in Spring. 

We don’t know, but when we do, so will you. If you like shooting very large aliens in the glowy bits, this is the game to watch. Whilst you’re waiting, you could go and buy the original, it’s presumably very cheap now.
