Lost Planet 2: 360 Only

If you were hoping for some more below-zero massive-bug-shooting in the form of Lost Planet 2 coming to your PS3, then you’re about to be disappointed.

VG247 have the press release from Capcom saying that the game will be 360 only. Of course, the first was 360 exclusive, too – until it was ported to PS3. You still have some hope, at least.

    Do you not think that it will eventually come over the the PS3, perhaps the 360 is just the lead platform and a few months later they will port it over. If Dead Rising 2 is coming to PS3 i cant see why this wont?!

    Played the original of this game on both the 360 and Ps3 and didnt really get excited about it on either console so im not really disapointed about the sequel.
    what is slightly worrying is that sony seem to be having trouble keeping exclusives, with the likes of FF being made available to 360 owners and exclusive downloadable content for GTA, while this seems to suggest the opposite for xbox
    . hopefuly, in the future,sony will be investing a lot more time and energy on in-house development .

    marilyn, this was never a PS3 exclusive. Sony didn’t lose anything.

    And personally, the stable of PS3 exclusives is far more plentiful and bountiful than the 360’s. Just this year we already have Killzone 2 and MLB ‘09 the Show. I’ll take those blockbusters over Halo Wars and the GTA IV DLC.

    In the coming months PS3 has MAG, God of War III, Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain. And just in case you didn’t know, Sony has some great exclusives already in Warhawk, Ratchet & Clant: ToD, Uncharted, GT Prologue, Little Big Planet, Resistance 1 & 2, Hot Shots Golf and some great PSN games like Wipeout HD. Just saying, I wouldn’t be worried.

    As far as I’m concern I don’t think Capcom is going to port this game to PS3 possibility to PC. And besides didn’t the PS3 version get 5.3 from Ign.

    So Capcom is either considering Lost Planet 2 a minor or they’re a couple of liers.

    Rob might be right about Capcom might not multi-platforming the sequel because of the negativity it got from the media and the low rates it got from popular game sites.

    Same assumption was speculated for Gears of War 2. Since the first 1 got ported to PC later, people thought its only obviouse Microsoft would make the sequel for PC but unfortunately for piracy reasons the sequel remained an 360 exclusive. So that could be another reasonable reason why Capcom would not have this game for the PS3.

    But whatever the reasons maybe if LP2 remains exclusive better buissness for Microsoft seeing as they don’t have any seriouse killers for 09. But I guess were going to have to wait for E3.
