Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Sackboy…

That’s right, it’s nearly one year since Media Molecule blessed Sony’s next-generation console with ‘Play, Create, Share’ masterpiece LittleBigPlanet. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the developers have fashioned a charming birthday cake costume (image after the break), which will be available to download free from the PlayStation Store on November 5th.

But that’s not all. The delicious (but inedible) outfit will be accompanied by the exclusive Astronaut gear originally released at the time of the game’s launch 12 months ago. Like the best things in life, this too will be free.

Just make sure you don’t forget to send a card. It’s only polite.
