L.A. Noire planned for release Fall 2010
Rockstar Games has just announced that L.A. Noire is likely to arrive sometime in ‘fall’ later this year. As the Publisher's recent tweet states, “we have not announced a specific release date yet, but L.A. Noire is coming this fall. Stay tuned.”
This statement may have been a response to Game Informer's earlier prediction that it is due in September.
Along with this announcement, the first details about the game have been revealed. Set in the city of, you've guessed it, Los Angeles, you will take control of cop Cole Phelps, who sets out to clean up the city's crime-filled streets and collides head-on with L.A.'s corrupt police department.
The game will resemble Grand Theft Auto in nature, an open-world action-adventure game but with less shooting. What fascinates me the most is the Mass Effect-styled dialogue menu that allows you to choose what to say while interrogating criminals; your words affect their responses, and the choices you make greatly affect how the game unwinds.
The hope is that they will give us a more firm date for this title soon, because I for one am looking forward to L.A. Noire.

Definately looking forward to this game. I'm bummed that they wait so long to release information on it. I think I first saw a trailer for it 2 years ago and since then basically nothing has been revealed about it. I want to see gameplay!
It looked pretty cool and my PS3 has been gathering dust ever since NFS Shift came out. My PC needs a break! Haha.
