Killzone 3: Next Year?

Prepare your salt folks, this isn't exactly a sure thing. OPM UK said, in their latest issue (at time of writing), that Killzone 3 is deep in development and is aimed for a release next year. That's 2010, in case you didn't guess. The mag also said that a sequel to World at War is on the cards and that Resistance 3 will release next year, too.

Strangely enough, we recommend you don't take this as gospel truth, but it's certainly a possibility. Whilst Killzone 2 took 4 years to develop, for Killzone 3, they already have an engine to work with, which will radically reduce development time. Nevertheless, we're betting on either very late 2010 at the earliest, if not 2011.

I am quite aware that no one said that R3 was due late in 2010. That was my own prediction ;-)

And I stand by it.

Nobody said Resistance 3 was releasing later in 2010, though, it could be any time for all we know.

I highly doubt we'll see Killzone 3 in 2010. Why release 2 AAA titles in the same period? More like a March 2011 release for Killzone 3 and R3 dropping on November 2010.
