Killzone 2 – Verdicts

The day has finally come when reviews for the highly anticipated Killzone 2 start appearing on the Internet. Such is the hype around this game that minute differences between decimal points will be the start of many a flame war. Initial findings? It’s looking very good…
Here’s a brief summary of some scores so far:
- IGN = 9.4/10
- Eurogamer = 9/10
- OPM = 5/5
Promising then, no? But then, we don’t really need to read the reviews to know how great the game is going to be. I’m not interested in any comparisons with other well-known shooters on different consoles. Fanboyism gets very short shrift in my house. All I’m interested in is playing great games. And this looks like one of them…

I’m still skeptical. It looks alright but first person shooter games never live up to my expectations on consoles.
The graphics look pretty decent but there’s only one way to find out if the game is good….drop the $60 + tax on it and find out. Bummer.
