In his valiant efforts to keep people safe from having fun, Jack Thompson has once again criticized game publisher Take-Two. Naturally, the game that’s upsetting him is Manhunt 2. This time, however, Thompson isn’t attacking the game directly, but instead he is protesting the online distribution of Manhunt2,
claiming that Take-Two Two isn’t sufficiently ensuring that minors cannot purchase the game. His emails start with a blatant threat for receiving an M rating for Manhunt 2.

Dear Mr. Zelnick and Mr. Feder:

Congratulations on receiving a “Mature” rating for Manhunt 2. You’ll live to regret it (trust me), so enjoy it while you can.

Jack Thompson proceeded to complain that using an age gate is ineffective for restricting minors from buying a copy of Manhunt 2, and that their secondary means of defense, using credit cards to verify age, is illegal. Take-Two sent a response email saying that his accusations are false, and the “conversation” simple degrades from there. Of the two, Take-Two’s emails are much more civil.
