Infinity Ward says No to Modern Warfare 2 Demo

Word has come from Infinity Ward via Twitter that the PS3 community will not be treated to a demo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 prior to the game’s November release. This adds insult to injury somewhat given that, back in August, Robert Bowling dispelled rumours regarding the possibility of a public multiplayer beta:
'Expect no Public Beta unless we announce otherwise [...] we do plan on running an extensive Closed Beta among Infinity Ward, Activision, and possibly first party partners worldwide [...] if for any reason we feel we didn't receive the feedback, address the issues, or have the results we expected, we would consider pushing forward with a public one. However, at this point only an internal Closed Beta is planned.'
To be fair, trying to prepare and distribute a demo (or a public beta, for that matter) at such a crucial stage in development would be a difficult task.
But look on the bright side; with Infinity Ward putting all their time and effort into perfecting Modern Warfare 2, to ensure it betters 2007's Modern Warfare, we can be confident that November 10th will mark the arrival of another mind-blowing, Game Of The Year-worthy FPS.
