Ok, so it’s not my hands on, but rather the excitable mits of those guys at IGN. The closed beta for Sony’s Home space has been going for what seems like an eternity but we’re now getting some feedback from those lucky enough to be part of the inner circle.

Having received an email from Playstation Underground with an invite, our intrepid IGN writer is clearly pleased with his choice of downloading the Home theme for his PS3. Something I did too…hey Sony, what gives?

As well as the usual info we’ve heard about before: the apartment, the mall, and more ads than you can shake a DS3 at; the write up details interacting with other Home residents and also the level of polish that’s gone into it. For the full fat experience check out his write up here.

I’m still undecided about Home. I think it looks fantastic and is an amazing piece of technology to add to the PS3’s growing arsenal. But will I use it? I suppose it all depends how the rest of the PS3 universe integrates with the architecture: if I can get easy access to all my online gaming needs and throw in a little 3D social interaction on top I could become a regular. Anyway, who am I kidding? I just want to tear around the HOME-iverse as Sackboy…
