Home: game integration news
Home is where the heart is, apparently. Home is also where Sony have been putting a lot of work in too by the look of these latest updates floating around the Internet. The much-hyped, although delayed 3D world which we’re all hoping will see online gaming for the PS3 blossom just got a good deal cooler.
Three first party titles will have advanced integration with the Home environment: Resistance, Warhawk and Uncharted. A nice choice of titles no less. And to top it off, we’ll have different flavours of extra functionality. Resistance and Uncharted will let you stroll around unpopulated versions of the game levels with your avatar - we all need a break from fighting aliens and pirates every now and then. Extra content in the form of intercepted radio transmissions will also be available to fill in the gaps you missed whilst playing as Nathan Hale first time round.
However, that’s not all. Warhawk is said to allow up to eight players to meet in a war room before joining a match and plan their strategy. You can apparently look at sand table replicas of the maps whilst still in Home. I wonder if you can push around model aircraft and jeeps. Hope so…
