You call this a playlist?! Except for 4 or 5 songs it’s a SHITLIST!! at least 12 songs are in rockband2 and the same makers make both games. now WTF is up with that?

There needs to be more Dream Theatre and Van Halen. Yes, Hot For Teacher will be fun but no body like Lacuna Coil. Good amount of Tool and Ozzy should show up more. Who is Mars Volta?? If I didn’t hate Harmonix I would buy Rock Band 2.
It is a little disappointing that a lot of the same songs are on Rock Band 2 and I have already played the crap out of them. But, I am psyched about several of the tracks including THREE, count them THREE Tool (aka the greatest band in the world) songs. Should be cool, and difficult.

They need some Al Di Meola in there! Eric Johnsons intrumental on RB2 was fuckin awesome. Eveb my 3 yr old knows the song by heart now! Im psyched for the new release! i just wish i can make my own playlist!

GH in general needs some more…extreme guitar work. Drop the whiny, emo stuff. Lets get some shredding, thrashing metal up in here. GuitarHeroGod is right – no challenge in power chords. Get me some Dimmu Borgir, some Emperor, some CoB, some Behemoth…THEN when you beat THAT shit, you can call yourself a ‘hero’.
I hate to tell some of you people, but this is a great playlist and I am very excited for it to come out!!!!! and I love rock band but this is more exciting than Rock Band 1 or 2.
i for one find this playlist very interesting, i agree that some of the songs being both on rockband and gh kinda sucks, but some people like myself cant stand rockband and havent played those songs on rockband, i do wish they would hit more pantera, metallica, maiden, slipknot, shadowss fall ect, but unfortunatly, we live in a world of censorship where 75% of the songs most of us would like to set our hair on fire and attempt on expert would automatically put the game in R rating which the company probably is avoiding
They should make a gh with metal and metal only
machine, slayer, pantera, obituary, down, cryptopsy, hatebreed stuff like that.
This list needs more Muse- the greatest rock band today. And more Nirvana! Something like “Teen Spirit” or “Rape Me”. There are also good rock bands from England that I would love to see. Aside for a bonus song from Kaiser Chiefs, here are the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, and Bloc Party?

honestly, i think the playlist is decent, it could be better, but its alright, im glad they put in foo fighters, nirvana, muse, tool, and rise against, and even the spanish music! but shit like paramore, blink, linkin park, and 30 seconds 2 mars should not even be considered to be put on there!
i’m found this to be a real hard choice between rock band 2 because the playlists are pretty even to me and the instruments are pretty even in the way that the guitar hero drums seem better but the rock band guitar has the bottom frets witch i think i will enjoy alot since i am a very imaginative player with guitar hero so i figured since i havn’t played the drums before i will enjoy them no matter what so the upgrade on something i’m use to playing rather than something i’ve never played was pretty much my determining factor

The game is mediocre. I listen to pretty much everything, but im still discouraged by the playlist. The name of the game is GUITAR HERO, not GUITAR/BASS/DRUM/VOCALS HERO. I like the idea of having the drums and vocals, i mean its cool and all but there are so many great guitarist that arent have not even been mentioned yet. And since we are on the subject, how come no Yngwie Malmstein?

On the contrary it is. Rock Band was created by the devolpers from the first guitar hero game. I remember reading that on gamespot.com somewhere

i think that the playlist is not bad but that they should have more blink 182 or linkin park and some american reject but also have the classics like guns and roses bon jovi ACDC the beatles finally the red hot chilli peppers u cant go wrong with that.. Guitar hero is the shittt.

I find it amusing that some people are so ready to slag off something they probably haven’t ever tried. You see, fools like this ‘Daniel’ kid probably have their heads so far up their own mega-awesome guitar-playing arses that they scoff that people who arent musical could actually enjoy an imitation-guitar game. I play ‘real guitar’ but guitar heros still an awesome way to kill time… I’m hardly about to spend a day straight playing it…
Top playlist, I actually found a few new bands by playing this game that I’d never heard of which are BLOWING MY FREAKIN MIND!!!

I fell in love with GH Legends of Rock on the WII and then I bought World Tour for the PS2. I can honestly say that I was one of those people who frowned at the thought of playing a game in which I’d be playing a mini guitar, UNTIL my ex-gf force me to play it. I got on it and haven’t let it go since. The makers of GH are genious, they’ve really inspired meto play a real guitar. For all the haters of the game, “Don’t knock it until you try it.”

it’d been better if they create a playlist with the same genres and music ages from the Gh3, guns,moetly, metallica, all those great rock bands that made the 80’s the golden age of rock, not that silly stuff from 30 seconds 2 mars, or tokio hotel, hope the next time nclude better tracks or ask the gamers what tracks we would like to play huh?
