GT5 Prologue pushes UK PS3 sales
Today, the latest Chart Track figures revealed that UK PlayStation 3 sales rose by 14 per cent because the release of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5 Prologue last week
“PlayStation 3 sales went up by 14 per cent for week 13, after going up 73 per cent the week before. Xbox 360 sales were down by 11 per cent,” Chart Track boss Dorian Bloch said about the sales increase..
The PS3 currently maintains a slight lead above the Xbox 360 in terms of weekly sales, despite Microsoft decision to lowerthe price of its recently
“PS3 is in the lead a bit right now but not by a huge amount,” added Bloch, noting that sales for the quarter were “up about 15 per cent year-on-year - the year so far is looking pretty good.”
