It seems long overdue but one of the most successful racing game franchises will finally be taking you to a racing mecca: The Daytona International Speedway. Gamers will be able to cruise either the oval or road versions of the course in Grand Turismo 5 Prologue. The game will be available in Japan on December 12th, with no word yet on US release dates. You’ll be able to buy the game either via the Playstation Network or the old fashioned way on a hard disc. In addition to racing fun you’ll be able to use the GT TV feature to download car shows from all over the globe, although each episode will cost you. Multiplayer races with up to sixteen drivers will also be a possibility, initially only races with other random players although friend lists will be added via download at a later date
