RapidMind and Terra Soft announced partnership in creating application development for PS3. Last month, Terra Soft Solutions announced the release of Yellow Dog Linux for the PS3. With the release of RapidMind Development Platform, developers can easily create contents for PS3. The contents for other Cell broadband Engine based hardware can be created using this platform. RapidMind Development Platform will be available for download through Terra Soft?s YDL.net enchanced accounts. The developers will be able to take full advantage of multi-core capability of PS3. With the release, the platform will go up against Microsoft?s XNA software. With the next generation consoles encouraging homebrew culture, there should be a lot of interesting applications and games released in the near future.
