PSU recently reported on Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter’s bold prediction that the Mass Effect trilogy will soon appear on the Playstation 3. Pachter hasn’t stopped there, however, making yet another prediction that the huge XBox 360 series, Gears of War, may be headed to the far superior (our emphasis) PS3. He pointed out that Epic is very open to the PS3 platform by mentioning, “we pretty much know that Gears of War 3 is probably gonna’ come out on PS3.”
Pachter’s basis of testimony was that Microsoft probably inked a deal with Epic which will allow for only the first two games to appear exclusively on the Xbox 360, letting Epic do whatever they wish with the final game in the series.
While it’s a shame that those of us with PS3’s cannot at present time use a chainsaw bayonet to slice open the skull of a grub, there’s no doubt that by the time GOW 3 comes out, there will be plenty more, far cooler (read bloody) ways to separate an alien from their life. Of course this could all be so much rubbish. Just ask the analyst who advised Martha Stewart…

Where does this speculation come from? There is no link.
From all the online videos of the GOW developers, There is ZERO indication that they would make a PS3 version.
I own both platforms, ps3 and 360. Gears beats Fallen, but not by much. Of course Unreal will beat both.

Well, Reid, they HAVE talked about putting MGS4 on 360. I don’t think it will happen, and Hideo Kojima doesn’t WANT it to happen, but it’s all about money and Konami has thought about it.
It’s different with Gears tho, cause yeah, it’s probably locked down wiht an exclusive agreement. I hear MS is paying big cash for exclusives this gen, while Sony pretty much doesn’t do that at all (why GTA4 is hitting 360 on the same day).
It would be slightly illogical considering gears of war 2 is coming out on 360. Why would they suddenly release GoW 3 for PS3, it would piss off a lot of 360 “fanboys” and Epic would lose a lot of money, because not a lot of people are going to buy a PS3 (at like £400) just for gears of war 3 lol.
