GameTrailers Busted, PS3 Redeemed

Normally we don't like to pick on a fellow gaming website. Hey, we're all in this because we love the games. But the folks over at GameTrailers have tried to pull a fast one which, had they not been caught by eagle eyed PS3 fans, would have made the 360 appear the superior machine. Turns out a "comparison" of two demos of GRID by Codemasters was fake.

First, the original video, which has been pulled from the GameTrailers website:

And, now a follow up video which shows just how devious they've been (Santa won't be bringing THEM a new Rumble controller this Christmas...)

If anybody can refute this story, please let us know. In the meantime, kinda makes you wonder about the objectivity of the site (which is owned by MTV which is owned by Viacom). Comments as always, are welcome.

@ english_prince, This is what happen's when fanboy's don't stay up with the opposite console. The 360 version will have mod's, sorry to bust your bubble.

@ DC, I am using HDMI on ps3 and set to full, and using composite on the xbox 360. I have ran the test with quite a few different people without showing which version is which and everyone preferred the 360 version. So that is the version i will be getting. You can try to defend all you want, just whatever make's you sleep and feel better.

Tarasque obviously hasn't played both versions or his PS3 is running on Composite, assuming you have one.

The PS3 version plays and looks better, i have both the 360 and PS3 set up via HDMI and i'm sorry fellow xboxians, the time of better looking 360 ports is pretty much over.

boo hoo? or just play the game and don't care?.. i'd take the latter.

well me and my bro have got a PS3 each and a 360 to share. as we were watching video's on gametrailers we notest that they do this with all of there comparisons. They had done it for Unreal Tournament 3 because they had used a modded map And as we all know the xbox version can not use mods and one more thing The 360 version is NOT out on the 360 untill 27/6/2008. So game trailers get ur facts right before you start slagging off the PS3 (Best Console EVER) becase if read reviews most gaming websites give the PS3 better reviews

Well i have played both version's of the demo and the 360 demo look's and play's better. Far as i am concerned they was using the video to make the 360 version look worse.
