At this weeks Game Developers Conference, the latest version of the Unreal Engine 3 was demoed. Check out the video below and try not to drool too much on the keyboard…

This is good news for xbox 360 fanboys. A nice preview of how gears would improve with the new engine features.

In other news, Gears is affected by the red ring of death, ps3 is not.

These new capabilities will be great for video gaming in all areas. The water graphics and physics are amazing. From knowing people in that business, water is always the hardest thing in video games to have completely interactive and look amazing. The only problem is, for Gears of War 2 at least, no one will have their Xbox 360’s by then. Ok, maybe not everyone will have sold off for a PS3, or Wii (which i bought after the red rings of death for the third time). After my fourth time of red rings, I’m ready to cash in on all my 360 things and buy a PS3. Well, we all know Blu Ray is the future. Anyways, sorry for getting off topic, I think this new Unreal Engine 3.0 will be amazing, and I can’t wait to see Gears of War 2. Looks great guys. Keep it up!
