Recently, Monolith and its parent company Warner Bros. have announced that the sequal to F.E.A.R will come to PC and next-gen consoles. The original F.E.A.R for pc, published by VUgames, quickly became one of the best pc shooter games in 2005 along with Half Life 2.

Since VU games own the name F.E.A.R, Monolith will most likely launch its sequels in different names and will be a true continuation of the original pc game. The titles will generally continue the tale of the mysterious Alma — a woman whose hurt and rage triggered a supernatural crisis. Now that Alma is released into the world, the paranormal forces around her threaten severe consequences.

Furthermore, Monolith is planning to create separate experience for each platform for their upcoming sequels instead of porting single gamie to multiple platforms. “We really want to raise the stakes for the universe and build on the things players loved about F.E.A.R.,” said Monolith president Samantha Ryan. “In addition to continuing the series on PC, we’re committed to bringing it to next-generation consoles by creating separate titles tailored to each audience instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.”
