Far Cry 2 is in Development
Far Cry 2, the sequel to the FPS hit ‘Far Cry’ on the PC (which was adapted for consoles too, but did terribly), is being developed for both the PS3 and the 360 by Ubisoft Montreal. We have no news on whether there’ll be a PC version.
The game is ‘a visual and technological achievement’ and is said to immerse the player in an entirely new kind of gaming experience thanks to a custom made video game engine that has been built from the ground up. The player will discover a true open world gamplay set Africa - in HD, of course.
Will Far Cry be the holy grail of FPS’s, or is just gonna be another generic shooter with good graphics? Well, only time will tell - we’ll keep you posted as we get the news.
Far Cry 2 is said to ship in 2008-2009 (so I’d say expect a 2009 release).
