EyePet Gets a US Release Window
EyePet has been confirmed for a US release 'in time for the holidays'. Admittedly, that's not so much a release window as a garage door, but at least it's been confirmed for release in the US, as it was previously seemingly an EU-only affair. So, you've just got to wait for 'in time for the holidays', whenever that is.
In the mean time, you can watch a video at Engadget or read Joystiq's E3 impressions. It's the cutest thing you'll ever play with on any kind of games console, it uses the Playstation Eye to show the EyePet (the creature shown above) onto the screen as if it was on the floor in front of you. It's called 'augmented reality' and it's showing up all over the place lately - ever the DSi is doing it. Still, this looks to be the most impressive-looking use, so we're looking forward to it, if for no other reason than to put an adorable creature onto a plane and crash it.
We may be pure evil.
