Our PS3Vault faces presently bare Cheshire cat grins that stretch from ear to ear, because this morning we learned that the Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet might be coming to Europe in April!

This forum thread, posted on Community website LittleBigCentral, is the source of this good news. Apparently, the poster produced one of the 18 exclusive levels included in the originally US-only, 'no plans for EU release' GOTY version of Media Molecule's title, so we're hoping that his word is trustworthy.

I’m due to touch base with my contact at SCEE today to talk releases for Q1, so I’ll see what I can dig up on the matter. 

Update: following my conversation with Sony this afternoon, I’m afraid to say there is no official word on an EU release of LBP GOTY. Yet.

Until we get something concrete, we’ll have to keep this news filed under ‘rumour’ for the time being. Sorry folks!
