Or so they have you believed if you visit PS3 section of their website. They are offering you $100 off towards the purchase of Playstation 3 system if you are willing to part with your good ol’ PS2. Now, PS3 owners have complained after getting the system that they would rather stabb themselves in the eye than play jagged and “pixelated” PS2 games on PS3. Sony has recently restated their previous statement about PS3 being fully backward compatible. Hell, even MRS. Cleo could have guessed that backward compatability was gonna be an issue on PS3. /rant off

Regardless, if you are in the market to purcahse PS3 than head on over to your local Ebgames-Gamestop and trade your PS2.
