   what the fuck micro$oft uses its money to fuck up the balance of gaming yet again, they dont deserve games with over 50 hours of gameplay mainly because the console only has a life expectancy of 12 hours, ooohhhh other things had me pissed but this is the final straw, im gonna go flame on loads of microsoft sites now. At least we still get versus which was the better looking game but hell FF belongs on playstation, hell thats like halo on PS3!! it shouldnt happen!!

   I agree - games have really just started pouring out for the PS3… typical multi-platform games aside (Madden, etc). Then you take system sellers like GTA and FF and pony them up for the 360??? Shouldn’t happen.

   nothing to do with bragging rights, its obvious that the quality of the game is going to drop when it has to be made for 2 consoles. I dont give a flying fuck about xbox, i bought my PS3 for £425 and every time i go on it i know i have an amazing console that i would have payed £1000 for, its nothing to do with the other console its to do with the fact microsft are screwing with my gaming experience which aint smart.

As for Square Enix how much money did microsofty chuck at you 50 -100 million, that makes you a whore and one that smells of desperation.
   So Microsofty can have their crap game on 12 disks good luck.
   PS: at least PS3 is getting a better version of bioshock

   bioshock aside, final fantasy is one of the best if not the best rpg franchises ever made. And if rpg’s dont appeal to you stay away from them but the fact of the matter is, that the ff franchise could have been a franchise that boosted sales for the ps3. what also pisses me of is that the harcore fans might get a watered down version of what could be a top ps3 game, although my hopes are that the game will overload the 360 in number of disks(preferably disks 5-6 per game) and a crap load of install time on the its version. im afraid this game will make me loose my confidence in square enix , although its already been shot by their announcement.

   Although this will have a large impact on Sony, I think that maybe people are slightly over reacting. Yes, the game will suffer because of the multi-platform release, but it’s still coming to PS3, isn’t it?

   It does anger me though, when large companies do things like this only to make a larger profit and don’t remain loyal to their fans.

   Hopefully Sony has something big today, something which will make us laugh and forget about MS’s conference. I trust Sony.

    tbh i never really played ff much but that is a ps game always has been n should always b just for playstation. im with nos4speed, id spend thousands on ma ps3, heck i spent nearly £2k already including cool gadgets n shit. if i wanted ff on xbox id have bought one of them and saved the money… oh no i wouldnt coz they suck ass… xbox doesnt need the games, all xbox fanboys go on bout they have more games, but they should add up the figures, even when ps3 is more expensive it still sells more units/day than a 360 and that includes factoring in the 360s year head start… oops did i offend a 360 owner coz ur console is shit

    final fantasy was a game i NEVER thought i’d enjoy when i was a kid but as an unwanted christmas present one year, it became my favorite series.

    i’m honestly just excited to get the two games in december. it sucks that it’s going to xbox 360 too. but final fantasy started with nintendo and as a sony fan, i guess i’m just glad i get to enjoy it on my new console.

    oh and ps3 is definitely better. i’ve never had a problem and mine runs movies all night every night. my father in law has replaced his three times and is close to going to four.

    As long the quality of the game (graphics and gameplay wise) are not affected thru development on both consoles, I will not have any issues with Square Enix releasing them on both consoles.

    This will enable the game to reach a wider audience, although it may hurt PS3 sales though.

    That being said, if Square Enix is able to squeeze all the game data into 1-2 discs for the XB360 version, that’s good news for all gamers though. If the game quality falls just to accommodate XB360’s limitations, then I’ll be real pissed

    Who F$#king cares, the final fantasy series and RPG’s in general are absolute rubbish anyway. Microsofty can have the garbage. Also If you think their going to squeeze the game on 2 disks your all on serious drugs, because I’ve heard they are trying to max out a 50GB BD-ROM so the means it will have to be on at the least 5 DVD-ROM. At least we have the better version of BIOSHOCK coming to the PS3.

    MOTORSTORM PACIFIC RIFT
    RESISTANCE 2
    LITTLE BIG PLANET
    HEAVY RAIN
    SOCOM confrontation
    all these games look very cool.

    Andy, correct me if i’m wrong, but I think MGS4 is on a dual layer, 50Gb Blu-ray disk.
