E3 2006 Warhawk for PS3 Hands-On

The game utilizes 6 degrees of sensor offered by the dual shock controller (More info on this later) to maximize the experience. Here is the snippet of their experience at this year”s E3: As far as the game itself goes, Warhawk looks like it will be pretty simple in terms of its design. You fly around in your future air fighter (which can also switch to hover mode on the fly..no pun intended) and you shoot the enemy vehicles down in spectacular fashion. Your weapons consist of machine guns, rocket swarms and even a lightening gun that fires either in bolts of energy or in one large ball burst if you charge it up enough before firing. Visually the game looks terrific and we were particularly impressed with the game”s lighting effect with some soft light for a sunset. However, for our demo we were curious about how the PS3″s controller would really work with this new motion sensor. Not suprisingly, it works very well indeed and you just move the controller around and the sensor inside does the rest, reacting to your movements on-screen. There is no more need to move an analog stick for this job, leaving you more time to concentrate on firing your weapons and getting away from enemies. Read the rest
