DualShock 3 To Appear In Europe On July 2nd, UK July 4th: £39.99

Sony has recently stated that the rumbling controller will be released on 2nd July in Europe (4th in the UK!) at the premium price of £39.99.

David Reeves (SCEE boss) commented: "We are delighted to confirm that DualShock 3 will be released in SCEE territories in early July. We hope this will add to the intense gaming experience for our fans, as we continue to evolve PS3, its software and its peripherals."

As usual, Europe received the controller last after the Japanese and Americans, but it's nice to see that the third incarnation of the famous controller will be on Europe's stores shelves within less than a week (albeit at a ridiculous high price!).

£40 is ridiculous. I thought £30 for the SixAxis was ridiculous in the first place, upping the price is worse.

Kieran, thanks for that - you are partially right. It comes out in Europe on the 2nd, but 4th in the UK.
