Dragon’s Lair first appeared in the arcade scene back in 1983 and it became an instant hit. Now fast forward to 2007, Digital Leisure, a company that developed eJay Dj Mix Station, announced in a recent press release that the company is planning to bring Blu Ray version of Dragon’s Lair for Playstation 3 and Blu Ray player. This instant classic has gone through complete digital restoration process which enables consumers to fully experience Dragon’s Lair in high definition environment.

An instant hit in its 1983 arcade debut, Dragon’s Lair has now been digitally restored and enhanced with an all-new 5.1 surround sound mix. The video has been transferred directly from the original film and cleaned frame by frame by Digital Leisure and authoring studio Infinite HD, creating a truly vibrant image. In addition, Dragon’s Lair is the first release to be authored in the Blu-ray Java environment, or BD-J, an advanced format that allows users to enjoy a fully arcade-authentic experience.

Dragon?s Lair Blu-ray will be available April 9th at software and movie retailers as well as online at www.digitalleisure.com.

For those of you who were old enough to remember this game can re-live the moment and for new generation of folks who have heard of about this game should try it out as you will find out why this game became such an instant hit back in the 80s.
