With the confirmation that Sony is finally bowing to pressure and dropping the price of the PlayStation 3, does the move now make this a console worth considering?
There is no doubt about it, knocking £60 off any gadget is going to boost sales, but creating an entry-level unit £125 cheaper is going to allow Sony to get back in the race that it has been so badly losing since March.

There are only two arguments against PS3: price and lack of games. They games are coming out by the end of 2007. So now they have taken care of price.
The newest report has also said that the 40GB does maintain the same software emulation as the 80GB, so don’t believe into play.com’s rumour of no b/c.
Since when the fuck has the Playstation 3 ever been out of the race? People care too much about sales, I’ll have fun playing my PS3 will the other assholes brag about the Wii’s sales, despite it being such a crappy console. I’m not even kidding, the Wii sucks so bad. I played The Bigs at my friend’s house yesterday, and it was downright annoying. The graphics suck, the controllers are incredibly twitchy, and there are barely any good games for gamers who are older than 12
