If you’re anything like me you will have been keeping a close eye on Criterion Games’ Twitter page since Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was officially revealed at this year’s E3 Expo. The British developer, world-renowned for the highly-successful Burnout series, is on track to restore the Need for Speed franchise to its former, pre-Underground [...]

During Sony’s E3 2010 Press Conference David Jaffe announced the next iteration in the long running series titled Twisted Metal. Having fond memories of the original on the PlayStation, I set off to get some hands-on time with its multiplayer [...]

During the course of this generation licensed titles have been met with poor reception, often amounting to nothing more than a poor attempt to cash in on the name. With a few exceptions, each and every title has miserably failed. High Moon Studios and Activision are looking to change this perception with the release of [...]

David Reeves, Capcom’s European Chief Operations Officer and the man behind the PlayStation’s launch all those years ago, believes the next next-generation consoles – the PS4 and Xbox whatever-they-call-it - could be with us as early as 2012. Speaking with GamesIndustry recently, he said without any qualms that first-parties have “got to be working on something”.

It’s only been a week since Rockstar Games released their Outlaws to the End DLC for Red Dead Redemption and already the developer is planning more add-on content for the open-world Wild West epic. Now that’s what I call commitment!

The headline is self-explanatory, so I won’t insult you all with a paragraph committed to reiterating the blatantly obvious. Instead, I will say that the arrival of both has blessed our beloved PS3s with some tasty features, including premium services, a video editor and uploader, network-based photo sharing and further Facebook integration. Cool, eh?
For the [...]

The Medal of Honor beta has been running little more than a week and already we’re seeing a patch come out for it. I for one can say that there is an abundance of technical problems that need to be addressed, so let’s hope this patch helps!

Sonic the Hedgehog was the reason I became a gamer. I did have games before that – in fact I started with an Amstrad CPC like Craig, but Sonic was in a league of his own. This series had everything: catchy music, wicked gameplay and generally just very clever platforming. I don’t think I’ve ever [...]

Obsidian Entertainment comes from a solid pedigree, developing titles such as Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2. Their latest title and brand new IP Alpha Protocol looks to bring a refreshing experience to the market. Does this modern spy role-playing game trash the competition, or fall under the weight of its [...]
