hello there not to sure that this is the right place but anyway, what ever happened to those amazin hack and slash games being sold for the ps2.hasnt anything ever been produced for the ps3 console that rivals that of a ps2 version of a hack and slash ive looked and looked but couldnt find anything. i personally enjoy hack and slash rpgs such as the SHINING FORCE NEO for the ps2 and im trying to find something in the ps3 of that caliber, so if there is please let me know and if not why hasnt the next gen console surpassed the previous gen in the hack and slash genre. im not the only one who thinks so ive been everywhere and true hack and slash fans i mean really true fans of this genre are disappionted for huge lack of titles in this genre which was dominated by the ps2. ps3 has a large fan base for this genre so why have you guys forgotten about us. and please dont say GOD OF WAR is a hack and slash that more adventure then anything, the SHINING FORCE NEO of which i spoke of puts that game in its place when describing a hack and slash so please dont forget about us and the other genres as well becouse it looks like its all about shooters in which your main focus for developing games for the ps3 is from now on.and please do tell me if theres really good one out there thats unknown of.and if the rumors are true whens does the new diablo(pc) set to realease for the ps3. thank you and i hope you guys have a great day

You can play almost all of PS1 and PS2 games. Regular DVDs will work without any problem on PS3.

I have been googling this item and finding nothing, I hope you can help. I have several 'party' games that are only played when a lot of people are over (Singstar, Buzz, Bowling, Pain, etc). This happened the other night that we went to play said games and all needed an update. so none were available to play. Updates are not background downloadable, so not the best fun watching that with a group of people. I know the updates for major games are reported here, but do you report or do you know somewhere that does report when updates are needed for all games, preferably as a RSS feed?

my question is: my ps 3 was working fine yesterday, and this mornig when i turned it on, my controller wouldn't stop blinking and couldn't connect to the console. it has never had this problem before. i thought it need to be chared but it was on the cord for a few minetues, and said done. but when i took the cord off it wouldn't connect , and would stop blinking slowly. any answers to what could be causeing this all of a sudden? and now the only way it will work is if it stays connected, but it woud let me shut the console off.

Sony and Microsoft, Conflict or Conciliation?
Remember the old days of PlayStation 1? When you had of alot of games to play and beat? You didn't have to worry about Exclusives because everyweek there was a dozen of games to be added to the gamestore shelves.
Why can't the same happen with PlayStation 3 now adays? Who is responsible for this?
Was videogame developers as "greedy and money-lovers" as they are now?
Who poured the greediness and the love of money in the hearts of videogame developers? (e.g Rockstar games, Square-enix, Capcom, Activision, Konami, Tecmo...)
First, You have to agree with me that Sony and Nintendo are more like friends and they had/have no competition, all what they cared/care of is to Entertain the players... So I am not going to put Nintendo in the argue.
Unlike Sony and Nintendo, Micro$oft is greedy, They want to steal all the exlusives for the sake of Money and nothing else, they don't even care for their fans...
They first came into Business by releasing Xbox in 2001, from that day, they started their strategy from the beginning to steal the Exclusives, and making our lives more miserable day after day.
Ofcourse the Playstation 2 generation was not as bad as this generation because Microsoft was new to the business but One of their early works was Bribing Hironobu Sakaguchi The Father of Final Fantasy, to open a new company (later they named it Mistwalker) to make exclusives for Microsoft, and on the other hand, make some games for Nintendo DS because it was not a threat to Microsoft, Unlike Sony.
Take Final Fantasy XIII as an example, everyone knows about the downgrade that happened to make both the PS3 and Xbox 360 equal with the graphics and gameplay.
Someone showed up and said that Xbox 360 FFXIII will not compromise PS3 version [Source: http://www.psu.com/Kitase--Xbox-360-FFXIII-will-not-compromise-PS3-version--a007553-p0.php] , but it already compromised the PS3 version and we are screwed up [Source: http://www.ps3center.net//news/3584/ffxiii-ps3-has-been-adversely-affected-by-360/].
Ofcourse, there are more than 50 of exclusives we already lost since 2001, what is worth mentioning:

In the mean time, I am going to wish that Microsoft one day are going to announce that they are going to discontinue Xbox 360 and discontinue making future Consoles and remain with Windows Software because that is their Field and I don't even mind screwing Apple Inc.
If Microsoft are not going to quit gaming anytime soon, we have to convert every Xbox 360 Fanboy to Playstationism, The Xbox 360 Fanboys already believe in their hearts that PlayStation 3 is a powerful system, so all we need to do is to give them a gentle push.

I had a problem before where my PS3 wouldn't read anything i put into it, and it was discovered later that the Blu-Ray laser diode had burnt out. In the end I had my PS3 replaced by the store from which it was purchased.
