Sony corporation has recently announced at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) that the company has shipped around 4,000 PS3 development kits. Despite rumors and speculation surrounding the PS3 launch delay, this is a bit of a good news to those who are eagerly waiting for the console to come out. This news displays a shred of hope that at least the development of PS3 is on-going and refute some of the claims of the PS3 delay speculations. Hopefully Sony will announce more information on progression of the PS3 at DevStation conference in near future.

According to Sony, over 4,000 development kits for the PS3 have shipped to developers. A logical step, and nothing too exciting, but it’s good to know that developers have something tangible to work with. And that’s about it for now.
