Batman: Arkham Asylum's demo, which we knew would appear for download at some point, will release on both PSN and XBLA on 7th August - that's both this Thursday and a good three weeks before the game itself releases.

The demo will begin right at the beginning of the game, allowing us to see the trap the Joker uses to escape captivity before he's put into a cell in Arkham. You'll get to sample the fighting, the stealth, and the detective work in the Intensive Treatment facility of Arkham Asylum. Not only that, but you'll be able to unlock some character bios and get a peek at some of the game's villians. Fat Princess to Release THIS Week

Fat Princess has been dated and priced, and we're now looking forward to this week's store update. The game will release this Thursday all over the world. That's 3 days. It's going to cost you $15 if you're American, and, whilst prices in other regions haven't been confirmed, it's probably around £10 and €15 if previous price conversions are to be expected. Which they probably are.

In case you aren't already aware and bouncing about in your seats in anticipation, we'll (try to) explain the premise. Fat Princess is a capture the flag game but, instead of a flag, you have a Princess. The Princess starts off the match thin and, to make her fatter and, therefore, harder (read: slower) for the other team to transport to their castle, you feed her cake.

[Warning: Terrible reference/pun coming up] So, let's hope that the cake is not a lie so we can get into some cake-feeding, cartoon-stabbing action on Thursday. I'll see you in my castle or over it's walls, eh?

PSN Down Twice Next Week

Playstation Network will be down on both Tuesday 28th (2pm to 5:30pm) and Wednesday 29th (2pm to 6pm) next week, for scheduled maintenance. As soon as the maintenance is finished things will be back to normal. If you're signed out during the maintenance you should be able to sign back in after a minute or so.

We are pretty sure this is GMT, as it's on the Official EU PS forums, but you never know. No, we don't know if there is any reason other than just 'maintenance', and we don't know what else it could be, either. Still, you never know.

Battlefield 1943 to Release Next Week

SingStore Update Next Week Celebrates Eurovision for Some Reason

Eurovision is something people like to celebrate. We don't know why, but there you go. Even SingStar is going to be celebrating with a pack of 'Euro Anthems' for you for £4.49. From VG247:
