Firmware update 3.42 is available to download, however those expecting any significant changes will be disappointed. This latest firmware is no doubt in response to the security threats posed by the latest PlayStation 3 mod that was released a few weeks ago.

John Koller, Director of Hardware and Marketing writes: "Hi everyone! A minor update to your PS3 system is now available via system software update v3.42 that includes additional security features.
