For those of you who are unsure as to what exactly PlayTV is, here's the Wiki definition:
PlayTV is a twin-channel DVB-T tuner peripheral with digital video recorder (DVR) software which allows users to watch and record television programmes to the hard drive of a PlayStation 3 console for later viewing.

The product will be available in Europe and Australia, although it's unclear if it will feature outside of these regions due to differences in broadcasting methods. It will be released on 19th September in the UK. Read more »
