From bad to worse: new Black Ops patch brings more problems

In response to innumerable complaints from the PS3’s Call of Duty community, developer Treyarch released patch 1.04 for Black Ops early yesterday morning in the hope of exorcising a large list of gameplay and performance-related issues that have thus far rendered the game unplayable.

Call of Duty: Cack Ops: online multiplayer in desperate need of patch

Last night I decided to venture online with Call of Duty: Black Ops. At about 19:00 GMT there were 724,598 players connected across the globe, so I was open to the possibility that my experience might be a little, ahem, ‘temperamental’ (and it was, though given I retired from my session with a respectable Kill/Death Ratio I wasn’t too disappointed). However, the technical team at Treyarch have a lot of work ahead of them judging by what I’ve read recently on the Call of Duty forums.

Black Ops' PS3 online multiplayer DOES support regional matchmaking

Visited N4G recently? Yes? Then chances are you’ve seen an article which states that the PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops does not incorporate regional matchmaking to support the stability of its online multiplayer mode.
