Namco have said that they wanted everyone to experience Tekken 6, which is why it was made available on the 360 as well as the PS3.

“We want everyone to experience it. This is the first time that Tekken’s moved away from the PlayStation format. It’s no longer exclusive to Sony, so it is on Xbox 360… The install base for both machines is pretty huge, and we have to make it available to everybody now.

We would guess it involves the price it costs to develop games lately, making this comment a simple 'we did it to make more money'. It's understandable, I sure as hell couldn't afford to make a game. Not that I would. Or am a company.

Tekken 6, the long-awaited next-generation Iron Fist Tournament, is just 7 days from release now. As I write, that’s only 168 hours. Or 10,080 minutes, give or take.

We can imagine that many of you are counting every second. I certainly am. Beginning with the original Tekken that accompanied the PlayStation’s launch 15 years ago, I’ve punched and kicked my way through every instalment of Namco’s universally acclaimed, world-renowned beat ‘em up franchise. Consequently, I am inconceivably proficient will each character, I have an unthinkable number of button combinations committed to memory, and I will most likely fall victim to chronic arthritis in later years.

Today I hope to whet the appetites of Iron Fist enthusiasts everywhere with new footage taken from Tekken 6’s Scenario Campaign mode. In true Streets of Rage/Final Fight fashion, the objective is to pound the stuffing out of persistent waves of enemies and an assortment of bosses until you complete all scenarios or your thumbs fall off – whichever happens first. Speaking objectively (honest), the cut scenes look superb, and the in-game visuals are equally special.

We do know that it's an adaptation of the Iron Fist tournament, in which you can fight unlimited battles, and the top 32 fighters will be entered into the finals, where you'll have a chance to win a signed copy of Tekken 6, character models and other fancy prizes that you already know you really, really want.
