Max Payne 3 release date deferred, again

In December last year we reported that the release date for Max Payne 3 had been pushed back from mid 2010 to late 2010, as per Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal results report for Q4 2009. This morning we took a cursory glance at their report for Q2 2010 only to learn that the game’s launch has been deferred again, this time until fiscal year 2011.

Take-Two on GTA V

We came across a post on VG247.com this morning about GTA V, and word from publishers Take-Two Interactive Software about when we can expect the next chapter in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Unfortunately for us, Take-Two aren’t prepared to disclose anything just yet. Comment came from Company Chairman Strauss Zelnick, founding partner of ZelnickMedia, during a company earnings meeting yesterday afternoon:

'We’re not going to announce it. We’re not going to announce when we’re going to announce it. And we’re not going to announce the strategy about announcing it or about when we’re going to announce it either, or about the announcement strategy surrounding the announcement of the strategy. Any other questions?'

So Zelnick's playing his cards close to his chest. Still, if nothing else, he's a worthy contender for Best Quote of 2009.

BioShock 2 Dated In U.S and Europe

Take-Two recently confirmed the release date of Bioshock 2, one of the most anticipated sequels of this year. Bioshock 2 is set to release in Europe on October 30 and in the US on November 3 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Electronic Art's Takeover Attempt of Take Two is Officially Over

The drama was longer and more involved than any video game plot and now it's officially over. Take Two, publishers of the Grand Theft Auto series and many other games will remain a separate company for now. Read more »
