Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 appears to be dominating the landscape of next generation first person shooters, despite its online multiplayer element being saturated with flaws, hacks, glitches, and arrogant pubescent gamers.

But for how long? We realise this is a bold question, though we feel Digital Illusions CE (better known as DICE) will give Infinity Ward a run for their money when Battlefield: Bad Company 2 hits the market. We’ve been reviewing the statistics recorded during the closed beta thus far; in one month the kill count has reached a staggering 45.42 million. 3.43 million vehicles have been destroyed, 380,000 buildings have been blown to bits, and there are still five days until the beta closes!

More than 300,000 individuals are presently taking part and, judging by the above figures, it looks like each one of them is playing this title to death. Literally!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Statistics Suggest Greatness

Given the popularity of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Naughty Dog really needs to up the ante to ensure Uncharted 2: Among Thieves lives up to expectations. Based on some development statistics featured in a recent 1UP article, it seems the Crash Bandicoot creators are not worried, and for good reasons.

During the online Multiplayer Beta, for example, more than 130,000 people participated from 135 countries across the globe, clocking up an incredible 40,300 hours of match time over the three week period. That’s a lot, of everything!
