Oddworld is coming back!

Anyone remember this guy? This is Abe, a loveable Mudokon born into slavery and completely ignorant of his people's rich history and culture. He's also the guy who giggled every time he farted. He was the protagonist of the original 1997 PlayStation 1 title: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee  - Freakiest. Game. Ever.

This game was a classic and a multi-award winning title. I often dig out the old PS1 to play it and I was overjoyed to hear today that the people at Just Add Water have announced that they have been working with the developers at Oddworld Inhabitants to hopefully bring back our favorite characters once again, they have said on their website:

According to Gamespy, and the other links which follow, a Ubisoft employee may have inadvertently let the cat out of the bag regarding Sam Fisher's leap from exclusivity of the Xbox360 and PC and taking hostage of the PS3 in the future.

Mass Effect 2 PS3 Rumours Get Kickstarted Again

It's been a while since we reported on the Mass Effect series and it's meeting the PS3 for tea and biscuits, so we're going to rectify that at some point.

Actually - let's do it now! Bioware's Jay Watamaniuk let slip recently in a presentation at Poznan Game Arena that Mass Effect 2 will be coming to PC, Xbox 360 and 'probably PS3'. He then defaulted to the stock 'we don't comment on rumours and speculation' when pursued on the subject, which keeps this firmly lodged in rumours.

However, this clearly means that any of those slightly shifty looking PS3 owners that have been carrying around a glimmer of hope that they could get some kind of Mass Effect out of their wonderful Sony-branded black box can now justify that hope. Indeed, they can even increase it, it looks more likely by the day. Cross your fingers/toes/hearts/tentacles.
