Well, the title says it all. Sony's big announcement today was that the price of the PS2 will drop to $99 on April 5th. Unfortunately, the hoped and rumored for price drop on the PS3 did not happen. With the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii now selling for considerably less than the base model PS3 (80GB model starts at $399), we have to wonder when Sony will wake up and realize publishers will develop based on the consoles that are in peoples homes.
