Promotional Monster Energy Drink Reveals Modern Warfare 2 DLC Release Date

Monster Energy

Monster Energy has sealed a deal with Activision to produce specially-branded energy drinks as a means of endorsing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. However, Monster’s promotion is also valuable intel, as it hints at the due date of the game’s first DLC package.

Purchasers of these themed cans will be automatically entered into a draw to win Modern Warfare 2-related prizes, including one of 5,000 codes for a free download of Map Pack 1 – which, if the ‘Monster Assault Energy’ four-pack's packaging is anything to go by, is planned for release in Spring 2010.

We imagine this is the first of the two Map Packs Infinity Ward promised back in August. Expect a sudden outbreak of sugar-loaded, over-caffeinated gamers in the coming months.

Sony Shows its Appreciation in Promotional 'Thank You' Mail

Thank-you-banner

We at PS3Vault.com would be interested to know how many members of the PS3 community are considered by Sony to be a favourite customer.

Emails are currently being distributed to certain individuals on the PlayStation Network, thanking them for their enthusiasm and commitment as a loyal PSN supporter and PlayStation Store customer. As it happens, I got one this morning.

But don't get too excited if you are lucky enough to receive one. It's just a mail. No free content offer, no reward code to redeem, nothing. To be honest, it comes across like a PlayStation Network promotion wrapped in a thank you note. Still, it's the thought that counts, right?

You can click 'Read more...' below to see a snapshot of the said message.
