Earlier today we received word from Sony Online Entertainment that their upcoming MMO DC Universe Online is now delayed until early 2011.

John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment writes: "DC Universe Online is the first game of its kind, and a truly massive undertaking -- the first action MMO set in the DC Universe, the first MMO on the PlayStation®3, and the first time the entire DC Universe will be accessible to the millions of fans who are eagerly anticipating its release. As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we'll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date."

Earlier today, 2K released the very first gameplay footage for the latest entry to their popular franchise Bioshock. This latest entry, titled Bioshock: Infinite, will introduce players to the floating city known as Colombia and further explore the ideas that made the franchise so popular. Bioshock: Infinite is set to release sometime in 2012. To view the gameplay footage, hit the break.

People continue to ask me why I, a Modern Warfare 2 veteran, am choosing to abandon all I know and convert to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 when it launches on March 5th (aside from the fact it's an excellent title, of course). In light of today’s post, perhaps their relentless probing will cease.
