‘'Heads-Up’ EU PlayStation Store Update (11th March 2010)

It's Thursday, and time for the EU store update. Ross McGrath writes "Howdy everyone and welcome to your 10th ‘Heads-Up’ of the 2010. How the weeks fly by! Once again I’m standing in for Mike while he’s away working hard so it falls to me to deliver the gaming goodness.

For your PS3 this week, we’ve got Capcom’s sublime Mega Man 10 in all his 8-bit glory – retro gaming at its finest (and most challenging).

With all the Resident Evil 5 DLC recently, maybe you’ve been thinking about picking up a copy for yourself, so we’ve dug out the Resident Evil 5 demo from the archive for a limited time for you to have another go and help make up your minds. For those of you who own the game and have been holding out on grabbing the new levels, hold out no more as we’ve got the Untold Stories bundle, collecting both of the new missions and both costume packs in one convenient package.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a hack 'n' slash tie-in with the film of the same name, which features Hugh Jackman in all his chiseled, pointy glory as Wolverine, the most badass of all the X-Men. From the demo I get a feeling Wolverine is going to be a decent game, especially for a movie tie-in. It won't beat God of War but, then again, you probably weren't expecting it to.

The demo starts with an unskippable 3 minute CGI cutscene (which looks great) that features a lot of blood and slow motion and a bit of storyline before you're thrown out of an exploding helicopter into what is a wholly unnecessary freefall to ground that does, admittedly, end in a pretty damn cool way - Logan slams claws-first onto an enemy, gets up, relocates his arm, then you take control.
