From bad to worse: new Black Ops patch brings more problems

In response to innumerable complaints from the PS3’s Call of Duty community, developer Treyarch released patch 1.04 for Black Ops early yesterday morning in the hope of exorcising a large list of gameplay and performance-related issues that have thus far rendered the game unplayable.

DC Universe Online Delayed Till Early 2011

Earlier today we received word from Sony Online Entertainment that their upcoming MMO DC Universe Online is now delayed until early 2011.

John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment writes: "DC Universe Online is the first game of its kind, and a truly massive undertaking -- the first action MMO set in the DC Universe, the first MMO on the PlayStation®3, and the first time the entire DC Universe will be accessible to the millions of fans who are eagerly anticipating its release. As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we'll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date."

Eagle-Eye Converter to upset balance in FPS online multiplayer modes?

Videogame peripheral and accessory manufacturer Penguin United has recently produced a wondrous piece of kit called the Eagle-Eye Converter, which gives PlayStation 3 owners the option to use a standard USB keyboard and mouse instead of a controller. As you might expect, Los Angeles’ E3 Expo will be the platform for its official launch, with an SRP of $59.99.
