Getting freezes on an hourly basis? Does the social aspects feel broken? Is the text to small to read? Fear not brave superheroes, Sony Online Entertainment is aware of the issues and are working on a patch to fix them.

Wes Yanagi, Senior Producer at Sony Online Entertainment Austin writes: "Some of the specific issues that we are fixing include numerous changes to improve the user interface, in particular text readability. In addition, we want to make it easier for you to play with your friends! What is an online game without playing with friends? :)"

We've enjoyed our time playing DC Universe Online despite numerous hard reboots we've had to do. Stay tuned for a more robust preview in the next couple of weeks.

EU PlayStation Store Update (24th November 2010)

It's Wednesday and time for the EU PlayStation Store update.

Ross McGrath writes: "Two trial and unlocks for you this week – the sublime Pac-Man Championship Edition DX (with a free XMB theme for those who choose to buy) and the Move-enabled Funky Lab Rat. The high-seas shooter, Dead Storm Pirates from Time Crisis: Razing Storm also makes its way to digital too."

EU PlayStation Store Update (15th September 2010)

European users are in store for a fantastic week of content; with a Enslaved demo, and a strong line-up of Move demos leading the way.

Mike Kebby writes: "The Move content doesn’t stop there; we have nine…yes NINE demos for Move titles (as well as ‘normal’ demos for FIFA 11, PES 2011 and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West) and Move update packs for EyePet and High Velocity Bowling to ensure you can play these games using your newly purchased Move controllers."

New Study Finds Violent Video Games are Actually Good for Kids

Video games are often blamed for the violent outbursts of children, as are TV and movies. The first time I ever heard of video games being blamed for violence was a few years ago where in the UK, the game "Manhunt" was linked to the murder of Stefan Pakeerah, 14, by his friend Warren Leblanc, 17, on the 27 February 2004. Giselle Pakeerah, the victim's mother, claimed that Leblanc had been 'obsessed' with the game after he pleaded guilty in court, this was thought to be true due to the fashion in which he killed his friend being in line with one of the many methods used in game. I think we can all agree that this is an awful tragedy but back in 2003 when the game was released, I myself was only about 13 or 14 years old and I didn't kill any of my friends, so is it fair to blame the game? A new study suggests no.

PlayStation Minis: Over 1 Million downloaded

Nine months ago, PlayStation launched a line of games named "Minis", designed originally as a quick to download, bite sized experiences, with the Playstation Portable in mind.

As of the July 14, 2010 there are over 85 titles available on the PlayStation store, and most are now playable on the PlayStation 3 as well as the PSP. The US PlayStation Blog also announced that as of this date the smallest downloadable games have passed a very big milestone: Over 1 million Minis have been downloaded worldwide.
