In a monumental first for the gaming and music industries, Metallica's highly anticipated ninth studio album Death Magnetic will be available in its entirety as downloadable content for Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock day and date with the album release this Friday, September 12. Ozzy Osbourne to Rock Guitar Hero: World Tour

I doubt he'll be eating bat heads on stage but hopefully the look and feel will be accurate. Activision has confirmed that Ozzy Osbourne will be a character in Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Ozzy will appear as part of the game's virtual OzzFest event and will be accompanied by lead guitarist Zakk Wylde. Performable songs will include Mr. Crowley and Crazy Train.

As well as the constantly mumbling frontman, World Tour will also include San Francisco rockers Metallica and System of a Down.
