You'll be happy to know that Red Faction Guerrilla's multiplayer demo (which some people have been lucky enough to try already) is set to release on both PS3 and 360 on May 21st. FFXIII Demo May Come West via PSN

Whilst Square Enix said they won't be bringing the blu-ray demo of FFXIII to the west, they meant the 'blu-ray' part rather than the demo. They're checking the possibility of bringing it as a downloadable, which will surely make a large chunk of the PS3-owning population very happy indeed.

Yoshinori Kitase, producer of the game, told VideoGamer:

The type of demo version we released in Japan, we currently have no plan of doing that abroad, partly because we are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can't just make it available only for the PS3.

But we hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West, so that is a possibility we would like to check.

inFAMOUS to Release May 26th in US, Demo on 21st

Want to be an electrified superhero (or supervillian)? Well, now you can do so earlier than you thought you would, since inFAMOUS is going to release earlier than previously expected. The US release date has moved forward by about a month, to May 26th, and there'll be a demo on the 21st. A double whammy of welcome surprises! There's no news yet on the UK release date, but we'll keep you posted.

Also, through the above link to the Official Playstation US Blog, you'll see three different preorder packages;

  • An in-game melee power called the Gigawatt Blades that's stronger than any other melee weapon in the game.
  • An exclusive Home costume of a REAPER gang member.
  • Early access to the demo on the 7th May.

Mass Effect 2 May Still Hit PS3

Interesting, this. Bioware refused to say that PS3 won't get Mass Effect 2 when asked pointblank by VG247.

“We have announced Mass Effect 2 for PC and Xbox 360,” said Ray, “We have no comment beyond that.”
